oDoc connects individuals with healthcare providers for remote video and audio consultations via mobile devices. Users have the convenience of consulting with a medical professional, receiving prescription medications at their doorstep, and getting laboratory tests completed, all from the comfort of their home.

We are proud to announce our collaboration with the Ministry of Health Sri Lanka, GMOA, and ICTA to incorporate certified government physicians into our platform. Through oDoc, patients can now access consultations with government doctors at no cost, regardless of their location.

As of January 2020, oDoc stands as Sri Lanka's foremost telemedicine network, boasting a roster of over 1000 general practitioners and specialists, including numerous senior consultants spanning more than 60 specialties. All healthcare providers on oDoc are registered with the Sri Lanka Medical Council and possess a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience. These professionals are well-qualified to conduct consultations via oDoc and issue medical prescriptions, ensuring that patients receive top-notch care without the inconvenience of traffic or waiting rooms.

While the prospect may seem flawless, prospective users might question the accuracy of diagnoses made without an in-person evaluation by a physician. However, the diagnostic process during online consultations parallels that of traditional face-to-face appointments, prioritizing understanding patient medical histories and symptoms as paramount. The American Medical Association reports that 75% of medical conditions can be diagnosed remotely, a skill our healthcare providers excel at.

Our reimbursement policy guarantees that users will be refunded in cases where a physical examination is deemed necessary by the physician. In such instances, practitioners' fees are covered by oDoc, ensuring that users only pay for services received while physicians are duly compensated for their expertise.

At oDoc, users retain ownership of their personal data which is securely stored on HIPAA-compliant servers.
